About Wil

Wil Dobson is a 40-something web application developer residing in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. A recent immigrant to the South, Wil’s West Michigan upbringing didn’t do enough to prepare him for the hockey fantasy land he found in the heart of Texas.

After breaking a few body parts in Tae Kwon Do, Wil moved himself into the sport of ice hockey, because he determined that wearing body armor would keep him out of the hospital. One week before Wil was to begin his adult hockey debut he separated his shoulder. Six long weeks later, Wil began playing with the Euless Komets and with a little bit of help from his friends, began to learn to skate.

His primary haunt is the Euless Dr. Pepper Star Center where he enjoys stuffing the pill past the opposing net-minder and skating circles around little kids. He enjoys building relationships with hockey players in North Texas, and seeks to grow the sport by helping recreational players experience.
