Logston is Making the Game About Him minor i Terri and I were two of more than 500 fans who turned out for the 12th annual Park Place Dealerships – Dallas Stars Casino Night, benefiting the Dallas Stars Foundation, which supports local childrens’ charities. The event was held at Park Place Porsche on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas. Winning face-off’s is important as getting goals and assists even though you may not end up in the stat sheet. [ September 26, 2009; 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. ] Free admission and parking! Come watch the Dallas Stars practice and then take to the ice and skate with the ice girls! On August 1st, 2009 a web and community based initiative aptly named “Grow The Game” was launched, aimed specifically at expanding the sport of hockey on a national level. I am preparing for a weekly feature (including a podcast) to aid North Texans in finding hockey ice, training, low-cost equipment and others to play with. We will include reviews of introductory programs, reviews of ice conditions, interviews with local notables, and a plethora of other gems. A meager $100 provided me an amazing opportunity to spend a day looking into the world of Professional Hockey in the Dallas Market, and it was one of the best days of my life. |
